Chapter 6
A
little bit later Jade brought up boxes from the basement as Jenn stood in hers and Bam's room and began to pack.
Jade
sat the boxes down next to her and laid down on the bed.
"This is really weird." the raven haired skater confessed.
Jenn
sat back on her heels.
"Yeah, I know."
Jade cellphone rang just then. Jenn looked up. Jade met her gaze as
she answered it.
"Jade its-"
"Sami?! Hey girl!." Jade got up walking into the hall to talk to her friend.
"How
have you been? I just got back from touring."
"Oh my Gosh! How was Europe?! Are you in town?" Jade asked.
"Yeah
yeah pulling up to castle Bam right now." Sami said.
Jade ran down the stairs to greet the girl she hadn't seen since
high school.
"Oh my gosh Jade!" Sami said as Jade opened the door. They embraced.
"Whoa, nice purple highlights.
Did you get your nose pieced?" Jade asked looking Sami.
"Yup. You got more holes in your ears. And is that a lip ring?"
Sami asked as Jade let her in.
"It's new actually. I just got it down a few days ago."
"Whoa, awesome place!
Bam owns this?" Sami asked.
"MTV payed for it. Hey did you talk to Angel?" Jade asked leading Sami upstairs.
"Yup
I called her. I can't believe she's finally an actress."
"I can't believe you have what 2 Cd's now?" Jade said as
they sat down on the couch.
"And of course the pro skater." Sami said laughing.
Jade grinned.
"How about
men? How have they been treating you?"
"Oh I have a boyfriend. He's in Cali right now. I have to fly to LA tonight
so I can't stay long."
"Awesome you can see Angel.Tell her I said hey." Jade said.
"How about you Jade?" Sami
asked grinning.
"Men? My boyfriend just passed away 2 months ago. You remember Dico."
"Oh my gosh he died?!
I heard rumors on the Internet but I didn't know it was true." Sami hugged Jade.
"It's okay. He did leave behind something
though." Jade put a hand to her stomach.
"No way!" Sami grinned hugging Jade again.
"That's awesome. You always
wanted to be a mother!"
Jade laughed.
"Jade, do you know where my jewelry box is?" Jenn came into the room.
"Oh
Jenn, this is Sami. Sami this is my brother's ex-fiance' Jenn Rivell."
"Nice to meet you." Jenn said.
"Same
goes for you." Sami said.
"Yeah it's under the bed Jenn." Jade told her.
"Thank you." Jenn said.
Then
the back door slammed.
"What the hell?' Jade asked.
She Jenn and Sami came down stairs.
"Bam!" the
skater hugged her older brother.
"Hey." Bam said hugging her back.
He looked up and caught Jenn's gaze. Jade
pulled back watching both her brother and her friend.
Just as they were about to speak a new voice was heard.
"Babe
I got the keys."
"Um, Melissa now isn't the best time." Bam said softly to the blond haired girl who entered the room.
Jade's
eyes narrowed at the sight of the girl.
"Um I better go Jade. I'll call you from LA. Nice to see you again Bam."
"Bye
Sami." Jade said not taking her eyes of Melissa.
Sami slipped out of the house and drove away.
"I'm goin go
too. Jade you can just drop my stuff off at Paul's house I'll get it when I pick up Elle. Bye Jade." Jenn shoved past Bam
whom made no attempt to stop her and left.
"Brandon, we need to talk." Jade said.
Her tone was low and her
eyes were narrowed as she walked up the stairs from pirate bar.
Bam showed no emotion as he followed his sister.
