Chapter 6
He
sat up on the grass.He put his head through his knees.He ran his fingers over his face and into his hair.
He sat in
a mix of disbelief,shock,fright, and pain.He was still trying to collect his thoughts.
He heard footsteps running
towards him.He saw Bam,Jenn, Dico, and Glomb running towards him.
"Novak,we heard screaming.What happened?" Jenn asked
frantically.
"Someone kidnapped her.They came and took her.I was trying to stop them and save her,but I couldn't."
he said in shock and sadness.
Jenn bent down and looked at Novak.She put her arms around him in a hug.
"Did
you see who they were?" asked Glomb looking down the driveway.
"No." Novak said.
"Novak, are you sure this
isn't some deploy to get rid of a clingy girl?" Dico asked.
"No!I really honestly liked this girl and I don't know
why she was kidnapped!"Novak said angrily.
All of a sudden Novak's cell phone rang.The one Bam had him specially made
for being a year clean of heroin.
He answered it.
"Hello?" he answered.
"How's the girlfriend doing
Novak?" a voice cackled over the phone.
"Who the fuck is this?" Novak asked demandingly.
"Who do you think?"
the deep voice answered.
"Leo?What the hell did you do with her?" Novak asked.
"Nothing.Not yet anyway.What?Did
you think that I wouldn't remember what happened when I got out of jail?" Leo said.
"Well since I'm such a nice guy,I
won't do anything to her.Today, anyway.When I'm ready to discuss your re-payment plan." Leo said as he hung up the
phone.
