Chapter 9
Bam
pulled the blanket over her as she fell asleep. He sat on her bed holding her hand.
"She seriously doesn't know or
she won't tell me?" He looked at Jenn.
"She seriously doesn't know. She's scared to death. This baby means a lot to
her."
Jenn told him coming closer.
"I guess it-i mean-this baby mean a lot to all of us." He told her.
"He
should. He's the only thing of Dico that's left in this world. This life inside your sister and that headstone by the highway."
"He?"
Bam looked at her,
Jenn shrugged. "Or she."
"What about Dico's mom? What are we goin do about Jade's lawsuit?
she has to be in court in 2 days."
"I know."
Bam sighed. "Could you at least try to be helpful?"
Jenn
rolled her eyes. "I have to go pick up Elle. I hope i don't see you later." Jenn left the room.
Bam watched her leave.
Novak came in a few minutes later.
"Hey Branden." Bam said.
"Whoa what happen?" Novak asked.
"what?"
Bam asked.
"You called me Branden. You never call me Branden."
Bam shrugged.
"Alright then, Novak."
"She
and the baby gonna be okay?"
"We don't know yet."
"That sucks. I need a cig. You wanta come with me?" Novak
asked.
Bam sighed.
"Yeah."
He got up and left the room.
When he came back Jade was awake. She
looked tired and the conversation she was having on her cellphone didn't look like it helped.
"Ville i told you I'm
okay..........No of course not.............yes i have a lawyer.........He's okay. Yeah well he's calling me right now so i
have to.....Yes I'll call back." Jade hung up on him and opened her other call. "what do you mean it's all over the news?!
Okay send some to tell them I'll go a full press conference on everything.......Yes including Bam's love life.........okay.....okay........i
will try to be in court in two days....Alright." Jade hung up her cellphone and sighed laying back.
"Tough day, Jay-Jay?"
Bam asked.
Jade laughed sarcastically. "I need to stand up really fuckin bad, get over here and help me."
Bam
went over to her side. "sure it's okay?"
"Fuck, yeah. i told the nurse i wasn't a fuckin baby and i could get up and
go to the bathroom myself, if you know what i mean." Jade put her arm around her brother and pulled the covers down sad she
started to get up.
Bam laughed helping his sister up.
"Hand me my clothes over there will ya?" Jade asked
Bam
graped the black spaghetti strap top and blue jean shorts on the chair. He handed them to Jade still laughing slightly.
"What?
you seriously think, Jade Colleen Margera was going to wear just this damn hospital gown?" Jade asked laughing as she stood
up.
"Okay this might be a little hard with this stupid iv." She looked at the needle stuck in her arm then to her brother.
Bam
caught her eye. "You aren't seriously thinking what i know your thinking."
"Five minutes just so i can get dressed.
I swear." Jade put her hand over the needle in her arm.
Bam sighed helping Jade take off the bandage that held the
needle in place. Jade held her arm out to Bam. "Careful.' She said
Against his better judgment Bam pulled the needle
out of her arm. Jade quickly took of the hospital gown and threw her clothes on.
"Okay. I'm done." Jade held her arm
back out to her brother.
"Shoot me if i miss." Bam said.
"Noted."
Bam stuck the needle back into Jade's
vein as she sat down on the bed. He careful bandaged it back in place.
Jade looked down at the iv then to her brother.
"Nice job Bam Bam."
"Not to bad for someone who hates needles." Bam grinned.
"Not bad at all." Jade answered.
