Shortcut To The Coldest Touch By StillScreaming Chapter
9
Ralin glared down at the pile of ashes that rested at her feet, the slight breeze picked up the ashes
and blew them gently around. Ralin knew exactly what had left the ashes behind, in this case who had left them behind.
“From ashes to nothing.”
She whispered, as she bent down to pick up the blood stained dagger that
had been laying amongst the ashes. The dagger that she had given Bam in case he needed it.
“Guess I’ll
be taking that back.”
She muttered as she slid the blade into a free pocket and set off to find someone to take
his place, someone not as weak, but this time she would be careful to pick someone who deserved to die, or had nothing
to live for.
Bam opened his eyes, the pain was gone. The last thing he could remember was watching his dry flesh burn
away and turn to dust as he surrendered himself to the suns healing rays.
Quickly he brought his hand to his mouth,
his fangs, they were gone, he then ran his hand down to his nose, air...there was air...he was breathing.
Heartbeat,
he had that too. His skin, it wasn’t pale white anymore it had colour back. Best of all the craving for blood was gone.
He was alive....was he?
Bam had no clue where he was, all he saw was white nothing else just white. Everything started
to slowly come back.
Tears began to run down Bam’s face, making up for the many times he wanted to cry but hadn’t
been able to make the tears fall. He cried hard, Jenn...he had killed her.
Him wanting to be with her, brought them
farther away. He fell onto his knees for he was having a hard time breathing he was crying so hard.
It wasn’t
until Bam felt a warm hand wipe away his tears that he looked up. Jenn, it was Jenn.
She was more beautiful then ever,
and looked happier then ever. She was perfect, flawless. She took Bam’s hand and pulled him up.
“Don't
cry, its okay now...were together, and we will be forever.” Jenn soothed as she cradled his frightened body.
“Are...we
dead?” He asked though gasps for air.
“Ya, we are. But don’t worry we're completely gone this time,
and trapped being something we weren’t meant to be.” Jenn whispered.
Bam warped his arms around her and
gave her a big hug and a gentle kiss on the lips.
“I missed you.” He whispered into her ear.
Bam
just noticed that everything wasn’t white anymore. They were home in their house, but only everything he had broken
was fixed, and they were alone in it.
This was their heaven, alone together- deeply in love-forever.
“Now
what?” Bam smirked as he pulled his lips off Jenn’s.
